ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Insaf Sami (JUI-S) chief and prominent figure in Pakistan government-Taliban negotiations, Maulana Sami ul Haq said that the federal authorities are thinking to release non-combatant prisoners.
Sami-ul-Haq said deteriorated peace situation is a vital problem of the country and now environment has set to address the cause.
Maulana was talking to media after coordinators of government and Taliban negotiator meeting in Punjab House, Islamabad.
He informed that both the side showed satisfaction over ceasefire extended by Taliban. He said in the next round of talks clear agenda of both the side will come up.
Government is considering releasing more non militant captives, he added. He said venue for the talks will be decided in a day one or two. He said restoration of confidence has been worked on.
Maulana Sami categorically said real talks have not been held yet.
