Washington: Samsung’s flagship smartphone Samsung Galaxy S5 finally available in UAE and Saudi Arabia cost around 2,599 AED.
Today, the latest Samsung flagship has reached UAE, where the 16GB Snapdragon-powered model can be purchased online for as low as 2,599 AED (approx. $710) in both black and white color options. The phone is listed as in stock at one retailer, though it’s likely orders will only reach consumers on or after April 11.
The Galaxy S5 sports a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display of 1080p resolution, a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16-megapixel camera, 16GB of storage and a microSD slot, Wi-Fi, HSPA+, LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, and NFC connectivity, and a 2,800 mAh battery.
The device runs on latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat with an improved version of Samsung’s custom UI, and comes with unique features like a fingerprint sensor, heart rate monitor, Ultra Power Saving Mode for extended battery life, and a faux leather back cover that’s designed to give users a firmer and more comfortable grip.
The Galaxy S5 is now available in Saudi Arabia as well (Snapdragon version), starting at 2,699 SAR (approx. $729).
