PESHAWAR: Provincial government of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa (KPK) on Thursday has taken a decision to reduce the area of houses of Government officials in Peshawar in order to reduce expenses.
According to reports, the KPK government has constituted two committees for the implementation of the plan.
While Senior minister and Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Siraj ul Haq will head these committees.
According to government sources, committees have been granted 10 days to submit the report.
It further added that the reduction in the area of the houses provide opportunities to more employees to avail government residence facilities.
In addition to this, it has been suggested to give residence allowance with salary rather than a house to government officials.
Similarly, instead of providing cars, the government officials should be compensated with monthly allowance.
