Peshawar: Senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan Abbasi has been appointed as new governor of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa (KPK).
He had resigned from his provincial assembly seat.
Pakistan President Mamnoon Hussain has signed the summary to appoint Mehtab Abbasi as new governor.
Abbasi will replace Shaukatullah Khan, who submitted his resignation from the post on April 8.
Shaukatullah was appointed as the governor by former president Asif Ali Zardar on February 11 in 2013.
