DUBAI: Former Pakistani fast bowler Wasim Akram has rejoined Indian Premier League (IPL) team Kolkata Knight Riders in a bid to give the owner Shahrukh Khan an edge in the seventh edition of the tournament.
KKR have been bolstered by the return of Wasim Akram as bowling consultant for another season.
Akram, who was part of the KKR dug-out during three IPL editions from 2010 to 2012, is excited about the team chances.
“About to leave for my first practice session with KKR boys who are looking in great shape and mindset,” he tweeted recently on a social network.
The 2012 champions KKR will play their opening match against Mumbai Indians in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.
