LAHORE: Significant development has been made for forestalling power shortage issue, the Punjab government finalised new ‘Electricity Saving Plan’ on Tuesday.
New electricity saving plan has been finalised by the provincial government to counter expected power shortage during upcoming summer season across Pakistan.
According to the plan, all markets and shopping centres would be closed after 8:00pm while wedding halls will be restricted to end all events till 10:00pm.
Punjab government also decided to transfer all street lights to Light-emitting diode (LED) technology; which would be helpful to lessen the electricity load of the national grid.
Punjab administration would be the top in line amongst all provincial governments including Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), who take serious measures for its citizens to face electricity shortage problems.
