LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan alleged that his rival political parties’ unity over appointment of NAB chairman has proved to provide shield for each other in corruption cases.
Imran Khan claimed that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) join hands in order to save each other from being gripped in various corruption cases, Express News reported.
He said that Pakistani nation wishes strict accountability of their rulers and sincerely leadership in the country but democracy is moving on under shadows of corruption.
Khan alleged that there is collusion between both ruling parties as PPP’s lawyer defended the appointment of NAB chairman.
PTI chief’s statement came forward after dismissal of petitions in the Supreme Court (SC) challenging appointment of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman, Major (Retd.) Qamar Zaman Chaudhry.
The Supreme Court (SC) three-judge bench headed Justice Nasir-ur-Mulk had rejected petitions filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s Imran Khan and Mahmood Akhtar Naqvi challenging the appointment of Qamar Zaman Chaudhry as chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
