KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari visited ailing journalist Hamid Mir in Karachi’s Agha Khan Hospital and told him that PPP is with Hamid Mir and his organisation Geo Television.
Bilawal inquired Mir about his health and greeted him like “We are missing you on our TV screens”
The PPP chairman advised Mr. Mir to take care of his health besides announcing that PPP will always stand for freedom of expression and journalism.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was accompanied by Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah and Information Minister Sharjeel Memon.
Earlier, Pakistan’s Information minister and PML-N stalwart Pervaiz Rasheed reiterated his support for Hamid Mir by saying that Pakistan government stands with intellectuals and not with the people of Ghulail (Pellet Bow).
