Social media is an easy way to say something, but it’s a difficult way to be heard. Thunderclap is the first-ever crowd speaking platform that helps people be heard by saying something together.
Following an attack on Pakistan’s famous journalist Hamid Mir, Amnesty International is using this crowd speaking platform to send to call for an end to attacks on journalists in Pakistan.
On World Press Freedom Day (3 May) Thunderclap will release all the tweets and Facebook posts at the exact same time to call on the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to protect journalists in Pakistan.

Amnesty International is calling for an end to impunity for attacks on media workers. Join Amnesty International in demanding justice for journalists under threat in Pakistan.
The movement is started after Pakistan’s famous journalist Hamid Mir was attacked in his own country, allegedly for speaking against intelligence agencies.
