ISLAMABAD: Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah today said that government of Pakistan’s handling of media in the wake of gun attack on Hamid Mir was not correct.
The PPP stalwart urged Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to consult politicians on foreign policy, saying that government should refrain from joining other’s conflicts.
The veteran politician was of the view that it would be dangerous to take back defence portfolio from Khawaja Asif.
Speaking to media men here, Shah said although Nawaz Sharif went against the PPP regime in memo scandal case, opposition would stand by the incumbent government for the sake of democracy.
“We are worried about democracy on the basis of our experience,” he said.
“For God sake, the prime minister should stop his cabinet from spreading hatred,” he said, referring to State Minister Abid Sher Ali’s remarks on power theft in Sindh.
