PESHAWAR: Jamshed Baghwan, Express News bureau chief Peshawar, and his family members escaped unhurt in deadly bomb explosion took place on his house located in Murshidabad area of the provincial capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province on Wednesday.
Jamshid Baghwan is luckily remained unhurt following the third consecutive terrorists’ attack on its residential place as the first attack was carried out in March while second on April 6 including a grenade explosion.
Police sources told media that unidentified assailants on motorcycle installed explosives outside the journalist’s house and fled from the location; subsequently the explosion took place; damaging the Baghwan’s home.
Rescue and security teams reached on the incident’s site while law enforcement agencies cordoned off whole area in order to investigate deeply into the incident.
According to police sources, 800 grams of explosive material was used in the blast; the intensity of the blast could be observed as the intense sound waves shattered windows of several houses located in the area.
