Pakistani universities’ ranking improves in Asia

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Higher Education Commission (HEC) Dr Mukhtar said on Friday that local education institutes of Pakistan improve their rankings.

“HEC is taking step to improve the educational standard,” Mukhtar said in a meeting with National Assembly Standing committee.

The latest ranking shows that the Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS) stands at 106 in Asia while Aga Khan University is at 116, Quaid-e-Azam University on 123.

National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) Islamabad ranked 129, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) ranked 181-190, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology ranked 201-250, University of Karachi – ranked 201-250, University of the Punjab ranked 201-250 and University of Agriculture, Faisalabad ranked 251-300.
