Attack on Gaza sparked anti-Jews sentiments in Germany again

BERLIN: The protests against Israel in Germany are taking a new twist which has threatened Jews living there.

According to the reports published even in Israeli newspapers the people,attending anti-Israel rallies are chanting slogans against Jews.

A newspaper reported events in which people are chanting slogans that meant ”Jews are coward who can not fight at their own”.

The reporter noticed that people from all walks of life are part of these rallies that means that anti-Semitic feelings are on the rise again in a country which has unforgettable past in this regard.

According to media these mobs are gathering in different parts of Berlin with Palestinian flags and shaking their fists in rage that shows the mood and the sentiments of the crowd.

The people attending these rallies are from all the walks of life, from German neo-Nazis to Marxist anti-Imperialists, from secular Palestinian nationalists to Islamic fundamentalists.

Even the president of the Central Council of Jews in Germany, Dieter Graumann accepted this phenomenon while he condemned the rallies and attendant violence.

“We are currently experiencing in this country an explosion of evil and violent hatred of Jews, which shocks and dismays all of us,” he said in a statement. “We would never in our lives have thought it possible any more that anti-Semitic views of the nastiest and most primitive kind can be chanted on German streets.”

“Jews are once again openly threatened in Germany and sometimes attacked, synagogues are being defaced and declared as targets,” he added.
