LONDON: India has won the second Test match by 95 runs with help of Ishant Sharma seven wickets against England at Lord’s cricket ground.
England opted the field first and stopped to India on 295 runs but the English batsmen could not success to give a big lead in the first innings.
However, England lost all wickets on 319 runs and India received just 24 runs for starting its second innings. Opener Murali Vijay knocked highest 95 runs while Ravindra Jadeja made half-century.
England had a 319 runs target in 90+ overs which was enough to win for England. Cook’s Test team could not success to achieve of 223 runs target.
India is leading the five match series by 1-0. The first Test were drawn between both teams at Trent Bridge.
