Afghanistan levels ODI series by 2-2 against Zimbabwe

BULAWAYO: Afghanistan on Thursday defeated Zimbabwe in forth One Day International (ODI) by 100 runs played at Queens Sports club.

Zimbabwe all out on 159 runs in 38 overs chasing down the total of 259 runs. Zimbabwe struggled against the Afghanistan’s bowling attack as they loss top 6 wickets just scoring 30 runs.

Richmond Mutumbar showed some fight back scoring 64 runs while Timycen Maruma played a supporting hand of 29 runs.

Sharafuddin Ashraf took 3 wickets while Aftab Alam and Dawlat Zardan took 2 wickets each for Afghanistan.

Earlier, Zimbabwe won the toss and invite Afghanistan to bat first. Shafiqullah played a great knock of 56 runs while Samiullah Shenwari managed to score 40 to lead Afghanistan to put a respectable total of 259 runs on board o loss of 10 wickets with 5 balls to spare.

 Donald Tiripano took 5 wickets for Zimbabwe.
