ISLAMABAD: Pakistan government on Friday approved to hand over security responsibilities of the federal capital Islamabad to Pakistan Army for three months commencing from August 1.

The federal authorities took decision under constitutional act 245; the security transfer to Pakistan Army would be made on August.

Minister of interior affairs Chaudhry Nisar said, the government took the support of constitutional article 245 due to possible security concerns to the federal capital.

Civilian government is allowed to take Army’s help under internal and external security concerns, he said, the decision of the government will not be challenged in any court of Pakistan.

Federal minister said, district administration hasn’t received any application about Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Azadi March.
