TEL AVIV: After day long talks with John Kerry, Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s security cabinet decided not to go with the current peace proposal and so they have rejected proposals for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, a government source told news agencies today.

US Secretary of State John Kerry has been pushing for a halt to 18 days of fighting between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip and the sources were claiming that Kerry can force Israel for a cease fire but these speculations proven wrong when Kerry could not convince the Israeli cabinet.

Full details of the proposed truce have not been released and we don’t know what was missing in the truce document form Israeli perspective but the government official, who declined to be named, said Israel wanted modifications before agreeing to any end to hostilities.
