NEW DELHI: Sadden Indian tennis star Sania Mirza over being questioned over her ‘Indian-ness’, after marrying a Pakistani cricketer, seemed to face all troubles alone as her husband Shoaib Malik is busy in Caribbean Premier League plays with no comments on Mirza’s status till yet.
Sania Mirza broke down while speaking to Indian media; said that “I will not let anyone question my Indian-ness” over being targeted harshly by a BJP leader from Telangana tagging her ‘daughter-in-law of Pakistan’.
Serious debates sparked over the matters over a sort of biased comment on a famous national tennis star Sania Mirza who already renowned for his smart plays in international tournaments.
Earlier, K Laxman of the BJP said the government that Mirza should be selected as brand ambassador of Telangana because she did not participate in the movement that climaxed in the creation of India’s youngest state, NDTV said.
On the other hand, Pakistani cricketer and her husband Shoaib Malik was seen busy in his career matches; currently playing in Carribean Premier League (CPL) being played in in West Indies Twenty20.
There is no comments and remarks came forward from her husband Shoaib Malik till yet despite series of harsh high-level criticism on his wife Sania Mirza.
Although, the former Pakistan batsman had been fined half of match fees over on-field affray with Best during last match between Barbados Tridents and St. Lucia Zouks at Kensington Oval.
Shoaib Malik had also seen unresponsive over series of tweets by Sania Mirza in order to show her patriotism for her country besides being a wife of Pakistani.
