JOHANNESBURG: South African well-known, experienced and match winner all-rounder Jacques Kallis has announced retirement from all formats of international cricket on Wednesday.
Kallis, age 38, who was born 16 October 1975 at Pinelnads in Cape Town, made his debut in Test match against England from 14 to 18 December in 1995.
Kallis played 166 Test, 328 ODIs and 25 Twenty20 internationals match for his career.
Kallis hammered 45 centuries and 58 half-centuries in Test matches and put 17 centuries and 86 half-centuries in One-Day Internationals (ODIs) while he made five 50s in short format (T20) matches for his career.
Kallis also performed well in a bowling side. He took 292 wickets in Test, 273 in ODI and 12 in Twenty20 matches.
Kallis made many records in his 19 years career. He got several time man of the match and man of the series award.
