PPP politician accepts rigging in Pakistani elections

HYDERABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader and Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has accepted rigging in Pakistani elections, TheNewsTribe.com reported.

“Not a single election held in Pakistan was free of rigging,” said Memon while speaking to Journalists in Sindh’s second largest city Hyderabad.

PPP Minister also claimed that no political party would accept the PMLN government’s move to invoke article 245 of the constitution.

Memon’s statement comes days after the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) government announced that it was invoking Article 245 of the Constitution and summoning the army to aid civilian law-enforcement agencies in securing the capital for the coming three months.

PMLN government move has been criticized by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and other political forces in the country..
