Punjab govt vows to continue relief efforts for IDPs

LAHORE: Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif vowed to provide continuous relief assistance for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan till their complete rehabilitation.


Shahbaz Sharif said that Punjab government will utilise maximum resources for provision of relief assistance for IDPs.

In a statement in Lahore on Thursday, he said that all available resources will be utilized in this regard.

He said during next month, relief assistance worth seven thousand rupees per family will be provided again to fifty four thousand homeless displaced families.

The Chief Minister said Provincial Government is also dispatching a mobile hospital to provide healthcare facilities to them.

Shahbaz Sharif appreciated tribal people for their role in strengthening the country.
