LAHORE: After so many hurdles, Pakistan off-spinner Mohammad Hafeez has finally been issued Indian visa on Wednesday as per Pakistan Cricket Board’s official request.
All-rounder Mohammad Hafeez’s bowling action was reported after the first Test against Sri Lanka, and was due to undergo a bio-metric test today. But, due to ‘no response’ from Indian embassy, PCB had requested ICC to extend the deadline of July for his bowling action test.
Hafeez, who had joined the team in Pallekelle for the practice sessions, will now be missing third Test as he is to fly to Chennai for his bowling action test.
Earlier, Pakistan’s team manager Nadeem Akram said that they have requested ICC to announce new. “We have tried everything to make sure he had his test within 14 days but the visa hasn’t been granted by the Indian embassy here in Colombo. “We have asked for another date between third Test and ODI series,” Nadeem Akram Cheema told ESPNcricinfo.
