LAHORE – Captain of Pakistan hockey team, Muhammad Imran blamed Pakistan Hockey Federation for ordinary performance of hockey team in World Hockey League 2015, on Tuesday.
Pakistani skipper blamed Pakistan Hockey Federation for poor performance of hockey team. He said that PHF unable to provide us good facilities and diets in training camps.
He also told that PHF failed to provide jobs to the hockey players. While talking to media, he said that players played the tournament without any contract and daily allowance.
Earlier, the head coach of Pakistan hockey team, Shahnaz Sheikh urged government to reorganize the structure of Pakistan Hockey Federation in order to improve quality of game in the country.
He expressed these views while talking to media after the historic defeat of Pakistan hockey team in “World Hockey League”.
Shahnaz Sheikh said that hockey should be brought to grass root level for the revival of game in the country.
He urged Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to consult former Olympians and consider their valuable opinion to make structural changes in PHF.
He further added that payers should be given employment in order to get good results.
He added that had the government taken notice of performance of PHF and hockey team six months before the “World Hockey League”, Pakistan would have qualified for Olympic games 2o16
