Cell phone services suspended in Karachi

KARACHI – Sindh Home Department decided to suspend mobile service in some parts of Sindh including Karachi from 4pm to 9pm on Wednesday on account of Youm-i-Ali (R.A).

According to details,  Sind Home Department  informed through a notice that cell phone service will also remain suspended from 9am to 9pm on Thursday.

Sindh Home Department already sent a official letter to Interior Minister for this action.

Mobile service will suspended in Hyderabad, Sukkur and Karachi.

According to the recommendation mobile phone services should be suspended in Karachi, Hyderabad and Sukkur.

Earlier, a two-day pillion-riding ban has been imposed in few cities of Sindh including Karachi, Sukkar and Hyderabad from 8 to 9 July in order to avoid security risk at Yaum-e-Shahadat of Hazrat Ali (R.A).

A statement issued form Sindh Home Department confirmed pillion riding ban on Tuesday evening.

According to the Sindh Home Department, the ban will be effective from Tuesday midnight (July 8) and will stay in place until Wednesday July 9.

The ban is being imposed for the security of the mourning processions on Yaum-e- Ali (R.A).
