DUBAI: International Cricket Council issued new Test rankings on Sunday which brought a bad news for Pakistani legendary batsman Younis Khan.
Right-handed middle order batsman had gained 6th spot in ICC Test ranking after back to back centuries against Australia and New Zealand.
The veteran batsman however slipped one spot down to 7th as he could manage only hundred in next five Test matches he played against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka respectively.
South African star batsman AB de Villiers has grabbed first place with 908 points again after orthodox Steve Smith failed to perform in Cardiff Test. He now stands on second place with 901 points.
Joe Roots heroic in Cardiff has earned him fourth spot which earlier belonged to Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara who now slipped down to number 5.
On the other hand, young leggie Yasir Shah has maintained his fourth place in Test bowlers rankings with South African quick seizing the top spot.
