ABU DHABI: Minister of Justice Sultan bin Saeed Al Badi has decided to set up and chair a moon-sighting committee to confirm the start of the month of Shawwal after fasting for 29 days of Ramadan.
The Committee is to convene after Maghreb prayer on Thursday, 29th of Ramadan at the Judiciary Department in Abu Dhabi.
The Supreme Judiciary Council of Saudi Arabia will also meet on Thursday, July 16, to witness the Ramadan crescent.
Supreme Court of KSA has asked locals to contact local authorities if they get any evidences regarding crescent watching.
