WASHINGTON: Especial Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi Wednesday held a meeting with the United States National Security Advisor, Susan Rice in Washington.
During the meeting, current state of Pak-US bilateral relations was reviewed. They expressed their full satisfaction at the positive trajectory of the relationship.
Tariq Fatemi briefed his counterpart on the significant advances made by Pakistan in improving the state of its economy, internal security and various steps taken by the Government for socio-economic development in the country.
The US National Security Advisor acknowledged Pakistan’s immense sacrifices in the war against terrorism and appreciated its commitment to eliminate this menace. In this context, the National Security Advisor expressed the United States’ unremitting support for accelerated regional economic development through enhanced cooperation between the countries of South Asia.
