ICC to play its role to revive international cricket in Pakistan

DUBAI – President of International Cricket Council (ICC) , Zaheer Abbas on Monday said that ICC will play its role in revival of International cricket in Pakistan.

Zaheer Abbas said that neighbor countries should visit Pakistan to promote International cricket in Pakistan. He also hinted that Sri Lankan team may visit Pakistan soon.

The former cricketer of Pakistan assume the charge in the month of July as the president of ICC.

He is Pakistan’s Second president of the ICC. Earlier Ehsan Mani had performed his services as a president of ICC.

Zaheer Abbas said that he was very happy with the news for appointing him as Pakistan’s president of the ICC, adding that it was cricket who had earned them fame and respect.

Zaheer Abbas represented Pakistan in 78 test and 62 One Day International matches.

ICC Chairman Sirinavasan also extended his congratulations to Zaheer Abbass for his appointment as Pakistan’s president of the ICC.
