Pakistan agrees for short Zimbabwe tour

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board on Wednesday officially confirmed to play scheduled series between Pakistan and Zimbabwe in September-October, thenewstribe.com reported.

According to sources, the PCB has confirmed that tour will take place as per schedule mentioning that T20 matches will be played before ODIs in last week of September.

Zimbabwe has withdrawn from tri-series and has sent initial schedule of bilateral series to PCB, according to which the two Twenty20 matches are scheduled last week of September and three One-Day Internationals will be played in first week of October.

It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan had earlier postponed the tour due to ICC Champions Trophy risk, but sighting Zimbabwe’s  financial lose, PCB agreed to play the series conditioning it with ODIs to be played after due date of ICC for Champions Trophy qualification.
