Govt slashes petrol prices

Islamabad: Pakistan finance minister Ishaq Dar on Friday approved reduction in the prices of all the petroleum products for the month of August.

Sources said that after the approval of the summary sent by Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the petrol price would be reduced by Rs 1.03 per litre while the price of diesel will go down by Rs 2.06 per litre.

The prices of kerosene have also been decreased by Rs 4.83 and high Octane by Rs 1.02 per litre.

The new prices will be effective from 12 am tomorrow.
