former PCB chief demands life time ban for Salman Butt

LAHORE: Former Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board(PCB) Ijaz Butt demanded a life time ban on playing cricket for spot-fixing hit Salman Butt.

While giving an interview to local media former PCB chief said if he were the chairman of PCB he would never allow Salman Butt to play cricket as he was the main culprit of spot fixing scandal in England, 2010.

He said Salman indulged Mohammad Amir forcibly into this scandal by taking the benefit of his young age but Mohammad Asif was not less then former captain Salman Butt in that scandal.

He added spot-fixing trio has completed their punishment from International Cricket Council (ICC) but they should be punished in Pakistan too.

Ex-chief advised PCB to put a life time ban on Salman Butt and remaining two players should be under observation for at least 6 month for check and balance on their behavior.

Butt assured PCB that he is with them wherever cricket board demands help  from him he will provide its best.

It is to be kept in mind that when this spot-fixing scandal was emerged in 2010, Ijaz butt was the chairman of PCB.
