Misbah ul Haq makes it into Guinness book of world record

LAHORE: Pakistan Test Cricket Team’s captain Misbah ul Haq has made it into Guinness book of world record for his cracking hundred last year against Australia, TheNewsTribe.com reported.

Misbah, on November 2, 2014 played a blistering inning in Test match against Australia, he completed his 100 of just 56 balls equalized Sir Viven Richards’ record of fastest hundred in Test matches.

For this memorable innings, Misbah’s name has been included in latest edition of Guinness book of world records.

According to record book, his name was highlighted for being oldest cricketer to accomplish this record. He was 40 years and 158 days of his age to achieve this milestone.

He scored centuries in both innings of the Test match, 56 Number of balls in which Misbah-ul-Haq got his century – the fastest, in terms of deliveries, equaling Viv Richards.

However, his ton was the fastest in terms of balls and second fastest in terms of minutes.
