PTI will contest Local Body’s election independently

ISLAMABAD: Senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Shah Mehmood Qureshi, has stated that his party would not forge alliance with any political group in the upcoming municipal elections.

“PTI will contest the local body’s elections independently and will not form an alliance with any political party,” the PTI leader said on Twitter.

“PTI as a political party which was cast 7.8 million votes in the GE May 2013 has a strong voter base across Pakistan, and our passionate workers will once again lead the movement for justice against the status quo parties… PTI’s ideology and vision for Naya Pakistan distinguishes it from others and has enormous support amongst the masses of Pakistan,” he said in a series of tweets.

Earlier, news were circulating that PTI, PPP and other opposition parites in Punjab are forging an alliance to defeat PML-N in Punjab.
