RAWALPINDI: Multan Region easily defeated Rawalpindi Region in their home ground by 8 wickets to register their first victory in Cool and Cool Presents Haier Mobile T-20 Cup on Wednesday.
Rawalpindi after winning the toss, chose to bat first on a slow-looking track. However failed to produce desired results and were bundled out on 132 in 19.5 overs.
Left-arm opening batsman Owais Zia was the top scorer with 33 of 20.
Multan in reply were confident and pursued the target quite comfortably in 17.5 overs with 8 wickets in hand.
Multan Region’s captain Kamran Akmal was declared Man Of the Match for his brilliant 51 of 35 balls.
