Channel 2, new type of targeted killing in Karachi

KARACHI: Pakistan’s financial hub, Karachi has been engulfed with the new type of targeted killing, named Channel Two, local media report revealed.

Media report aired by one of leading private news channels, Geo News, show that banned outfits and criminals join hands for the targeted attacks.

In a new type of terrorism, two different groups take part in planning and execution of targeted killing activity.

“Channel 2” is the term being used for carrying targeted killing activities.

After the many peaceful days and nights, once again Karachi, facing the dangerous law and order situation as 5 people including two media persons and three political worker were shot dead in last 48 hours.

Geo News doesn’t reveals the source behind shocking information but claimed that the new communication technique is the result of ongoing targeted operation in the city.

The report comes to fore in the wake of recent incidents of targeted killing in the Sindh capital in which two traffic police officials were gunned down near Sunday Bazaar on University Road in Gulshan-e-Iqbal neighbourhood on August 30.


Later on September 2, two more traffic constables lost their lives in a similar attack by armed motorcycle riders in Gulbai area
