PML factions agree to form united party

LAHORE: The dissident workers of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q), like-minded group, All Pakistan Muslim League (APML), Muslim Conference Azad Kashmir and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) gathered on Saturday and agreed to form a united Muslim League.

The constitution and policies of the new party will be announced soon.

Various factions of PML met at Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khosa’s residence. Talking to the media afterwards, Syed Ghaus Ali Shah said Pakistan’s ‘pure’ party was divided into pieces and that they are able to bring it together once again.

Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said ‘Muslim League’ is the only party that can steer Pakistan towards progress. APML’s Dr Amjad said it was Pervez Musharraf’s wish to unite the League, adding that the wish has been fulfilled today.
