RAWALPINDI: Karachi Blues beat Multan Region by 8 runs in first semi final of Cool and Cool presents Haier Mobile National T20 Cup in Rawalpindi Cricket Ground, Rawalpindi.
According to details, Karachi Blues captain Sarfraz Ahmed won the toss in the first semi final and chose to bat first on flat, batting heaven pitch and put a huge total of 189 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their 20 overs.
Fawad Alam and Asad Shafiq made blistering half centuries and scored 60 and 53 runs respectively
In reply Multan side faced difficulty from the very beginning of their innings and they continuously lose their wickets after regular intervals but they fought very hard till the last ball and they lost nail biting contest by 8 runs. They made 181-9 in their 20 overs, Aamir yamin made quick 45 runs off 20 balls but all went in vain and Karachi Blues won the match in the end
Abdul Ameer was named man of the match for his 3 wickets of just 21 runs and with this victory Karachi Blues through to final where they will meet the winner of 2nd semi final between Sialkot and Peshawar.
