KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Zardari’s close confidante Dr Asim Hussain who is in Rangers custody, suffered a heart attack in early hours of Tuesday.
Dr Asim Hussian was shifted Cardiac Hospital immediately where an expert team of doctors inspected him carefully.
He is currently being treated in Intense Care Unit (ICU).
Security officials detained Dr Asim on corruption charges against him, later he was handed over to rangers for further investigations.
Dr Asim was appointed as Federal Petroleum Minister during Pakistan Peoples Party’s Government in 2008. He was currently serving as Chairman Sindh Higher Education Commission (SHEC)
