ECP terms farmers’ package as ‘violation of code of conduct’

ISLAMABAD: Election commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday has called Prime Minister’s Package for farmers as violation of code of conduct.  

According to details, few days back Prime Minsiter Nawaz Sharif had announced a multi billion relief package for farmers which provided subsidy to farmers on fertilizers and pesticides and supporting them in different fields of agriculture sector following slump in commodity prices.

But, he was criticized over this by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan who called it as a biggest ever pre-poll rigging.

Now ECP has termed it as violation of code of conduct.
