MAKKAH: Death toll in Mina Stampede on Thursday has reached to 453, while 720 pilgrims are told to be injured, TheNewsTribe.com learnt from Arab media.
According to detials, Al-Arabia report noted that the injured have been rushed to the hospitals, while the officials are moving the bodies out of Mina.
Videos released in the aftermath of the stampede saw torn clothes and blood on the streets of Mina.
It is situated 5 kilometres to the east of the Holy city of Mecca, and stands on the road from Mecca’s city centre to the Hill of Arafat.
In recent days there has been a spate of incidents in Mecca, where over 2 million Muslim pilgrims have gathered for the annual haj pilgrimage.
On Wednesday, (23 September), over 200 pilgrims got trapped inside a train after its door malfunctioned. The pilgrims were trapped inside for over 30 minutes, over a dozen haj pilgrims fainted before they were rescued.
