HARARE: Pakistan has snatched a well deserved victory against Zimbabwe as it beat the hosts by 15 runs in second Twent20 international (T20i) at Harare Sports Club, Harare.
Winning the toss, skipper Afridi decided to bat first relying on his spin attack as he anticipated that wicket may turn in second innings.
Despite taking a good start, Pakistan failed to convert it into a big total as it lost the momentum in the middle of the innings, loosing too many wickets.
With the help of Sohaib Maqsood’s 26 and Umar Akmal 38, Pakistan posted 136/6 in first innings.
It was quite a chasable total but Zimbabwe batsman succumbed to Pakistan’s disciplined bowling.
Zimbabwe could not come up too strongly and kept loosing wickets at regular interval, at the end 121 for 7 in 20 overs, falling 15 runs short of minor target.
