MULTAN – Senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Jahangir Khan Tareen said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz stepped back from their words.
PTI contestant for NA-154, Jahangir Tareen said that PML-N escaped from election just before 12 days. He said that they filed appeal in Supreme Court of Pakistan according to constitution but they vowed to contest election.
Earlier, Supreme Court of Pakistan issued an stay order on Laudhran elections in the constituency of National Assembly 154 (NA-154).
Country’s top court on Tuesday ruled in favor of PML-N’s Siddique Baloch who had submitted a plea against election tribunal’s orders in which he suspended and re-elections were ordered in the constituency.
A three member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Saqib Nisar today (Tuesday) suspended the decision of election tribunal regarding by-election in NA-154.
The court has also issued notices to all the concerned parties.
Siddique Baloch was de-seated by the tribunal on August 26 over a petition filed by former secretary general of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Jahangir Tareen against alleged rigging in NA-154 (Lodhran) during the 2013 general elections.
