ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) gave access to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Abdul Aleem Khan to check voters’ details, TheNewsTribe.com reported.
The ECP’s bench headed by Chief Election Commissioner, Justice (Retd) Sardar Raza Khan announced verdict on a plea filed by Aleem Khan, a candidate of Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) against the alleged transfer of vote.
ECP gave the access to Aleem Khan to check the details of voters list but dismissed the plea in which Aleem Khan demanded to declare the NA-122 election null and void.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), leader Ayaz Sadiq stood victorious against Aleem Khan in by-elections of NA-122.
PTI had challenged the election result of NA-122 before the election commission, accusing the PML-N of carrying out rigging in the constituency via transferring vote from NA-122.
