ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif will leave on two-day official visit to Qatar on February 10.
The visit is on the invitation of Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani and Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al-Thani.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will meet the leadership of Qatar besides calls on him by important cabinet ministers. The two sides would also hold wide-ranging delegation level talks.
A high-level delegation will accompany the Prime Minister.
A number of Memoranduma of Understanding (MoUs) in the field of health, radio and television, education and research and a long-term Sale/Purchase Agreement (SPA) of Liquified Natural Gas would be concluded by the both sides, a Foreign Office statement said issued here on Tuesday.
The main focus of the Prime Minister’s visit and interaction with the Qatari leadership will be on enhancement of bilateral relations in various fields including energy cooperation, trade and investment, defence and increase in employment opportunities for the Pakistani workforce in Qatar.
Both leaders would also exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
