LONDON: Pakistan will lock horns with their arch-rivals India on June 4 next year, in the last edition of ICC Champions Trophy, at Edgbaston, Birmingham.
International Cricket Council (ICC) announced schedule of of the mega tournament on Wednesday.
According to the fixtures, the tournament will be played from June 1-19 in England next year.
Top eight ODI teams in ICC ranking have been divided into two groups A and B, with Pakistan and arch-rivals India in the same group (Group B).
The last time the Asian giants played in the event in 2013, India beat Pakistan in the rain-affected match by eight wickets.
However, in the 2009 edition, Pakistan beat India by 54 runs in South Africa which marked the ‘Green Shirts’ first victory in a global event over the arch-rivals.
Ticket ballot for Champions Trophy will open on 1 Sept. & close on 30 Sept.All remaining tickets will go on general sale in October.

“The announcement of the ICC Champions Trophy schedule 12 months before the start of the event will provide sufficient time to all eight sides to plan for the tournament and arrive in England and Wales fully prepared and geared up so that they can collect enough points to directly qualify for the 2019 extravaganza,” said the ICC Chief Executive David Richardson while announcing the fixtures.
The top two teams from both groups will qualify for the final.
