LAHORE: Premier fast bowler Mohammad Amir has been issued England visa for upcoming Pakistan’s tour to England, TheNewsTribe.com reported.
Mohammad Amir’s name was included in 17-member squad Pakistan announced for Test series against England. The series will commence from next month’s 14.
All Pakistan players were issued visas on June 1st, but Amir’s visa did not get any attention from UK authorities.
Worried from the fact, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decided to involve Pakistan and England embassies into the matter.
PCB also wrote a letter to ECB for special assistance to get Amir’s visa clear.
Amir was caught in spot fixing case six years ago in London, he was sent back after he spent nine months in jail.
The tainted fast bowler made his comeback in cricket arena after spending five year of sanction put by both ICC and PCB.
