LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that premier fast bowler Mohammad Amir has received England visa for upcoming series, TheNewsTribe.com reported.
According to sources privy to PCB, Amir’s visa for England has been approved, but, board is still waiting for his other travel documents for England tour.
23-year old bowler was caught in spot-fixing scandal 6 years back on England’s soil, at Lords Cricket ground. He will resume his Test career on the same ground.
Acquiring of Amir’s England visa became a headache for PCB as, according to British rules, any individual arrested under any criminal charge and goes to jail, can not set a foot British soil in next ten years.
Tainted fast bowler made his comeback in cricket arena after serving five year of complete cricket exile.
On his return, he initially was restricted to domestic tournaments and leagues, where his excellent performance gave him a chance to make national comeback.
