ISLAMABAD: A 5.1 magnitude earthquake has jolted federal capital Islamabad, Peshawar and its surrounding areas on Thursday afternoon, TheNewsTribe.com reported.
According to the initial reports from TheNewsTribe’s correspondents “Islamabad, Peshawar, Lower Dir, Chitral, and tribal belt among the areas where earthquake shocks have been reported”.
According to the seismic monitoring centers reports, epicenter of the quake is Hindu Kush region with the depth of 202 km.
Many buildings in Islamabad and Peshawar evacuated after the shocks.
No loss or casualty has been reported yet in any area of the country.
