LONDON: The oxygen of Pakistan batting lineup, Sarfraz Ahmed scored a brilliant and match winning 90 runs off 73 balls in the last match against England.
Studded with ten fours and one big gigantic sixer, Sarfraz’s brisk innings of 90 runs took only 73 balls.
The moment he took the crease, Pakistan has lost 2 set batsmen in the same over. Loosing two set batter in one over that when chasing a total above 300, needs real guts to sock pressure.
But, no for Sarfraz, as he after Test captain Misbah ul Haq, is probably the best man in current squad who knows how to deliver in crunch situations.
Not even once, his body language showed that he had any kind of pressure throughout his stay at the crease.
Sarfraz kept rotating strike for several overs to keep the score board ticking, and then when opened arms, he soon shifted the pressure back on England bowling.
Sarfraz was also involved in a record 163-runs partnership along with Shoaib Malik.
Though, Sarfraz could not finish the job as he top edged one from debutante off spinner Dowson, but he had set a platform for the rest of the batters to ease it away to the victory.
