ISLAMABAD: As Pakistan IT industry’s growth has been on the upward trajectory for the last four consecutive years, Netsol was ranked number one IT exporters of the country in FY2018.
S&P Global was ranked second in term of IT exports from the country while ‘systems’ stood third. The ibex’s exports from Pakistan remained the fourth biggest followed by teredata.
The i2c was ranked top sixth exporter of Pakistan followed by afiniti, which was ranked seventh. SBT remains 8th in term of IT exports from the country while Ahsan Enterprises grabbed the 9th spot and MTBC clinched the 10th position as far as IT exports are concerned.
It is to be mentioned here that Pakistan IT exports are set to swell to a $6 billion in the current fiscal year.
The industry’s exports have posted a 100 per cent growth during the last four years, which shows the great potential the industry has to earn the much-needed foreign exchange reserves and create employment opportunities.
During 2016-17 Pakistan IT exports were 3.3 billion which are set to swell to $6 billion by the end of this fiscal year.
The fast growth of Pakistan’s IT industry has been across different categories as enterprise software, marketing tech, financial services, consumer goods, retail/e-commerce, professional services and other categories are showing growth.
